I’m so grateful to be able to share stories that inspire and encourage children. I love visiting schools, churches and community groups to talk about how I became an author, why I wrote my books and to lead fun, interactive storytelling sessions. I’m always happy to sign books and pose for a photo too!
writing & creative work
See! Let’s Be… A Good Friend
This was my very first children’s book, written straight from the heart. As a mixed-race mum, I couldn’t find any children’s books that truly reflected a family like mine - so I decided to write one.
I wanted my daughter (and other children too) to see themselves in the stories they read. In A Good Friend, our family brings the parables and teachings of Jesus to life in today’s world. My hope is that every child who picks it up feels seen, valued and part of the story.
See! Let’s Be… ME!
I’m so excited about this book! It’s a collection of stories to help children understand and express their emotions, from feeling cross or jealous, to finding joy and peace.
Each story in ME! is inspired by a moment in the Bible.
I believe it’s so important for children to know that whatever they’re going through, they are loved and valued.
How to pray: A guide for young explorers
This is a fun, practical introduction to prayer, written especially for children and young people who are just starting to explore what it means to talk to God.
Through simple stories, creative ideas and real-life examples, we unpack the Lord’s Prayer in a way that feels easy to understand and live out every day. My hope is that it helps young readers to know that prayer isn’t complicated - it’s simply about being yourself, being honest and knowing that God loves to listen.
Author Visits & Talks
As an author, I love spending time with young readers and sharing the stories behind my books. My author visits include lively readings, interactive discussions and creative activities that help children feel excited about storytelling. I aim to spark imagination, encourage curiosity, and show pupils that every voice has value and every story matters.
Premier christian magazine
Writing for Premier Christianity Magazine has become one of my favourite creative outlets. I love being able to pause, reflect and share stories from my life and faith in a deeper way than I can on screen. Each piece I write is an opportunity to explore what God is teaching me, to celebrate the moments that shape us and to encourage readers who may be navigating similar seasons.
It’s a privilege to contribute to a publication that champions honest conversation, hope and thoughtful storytelling. Through my articles, I hope to bring warmth, authenticity and a little spark of joy to everyone who reads them.
Creative writing workshops
One of the greatest joys in my life is running creative writing workshops. Aimed for KS2 ages: I love stepping into a classroom and seeing young imaginations spark into life. During each session, I share my own journey as an author, from the first tiny idea all the way to holding a finished book in my hands and talk honestly about the ups, downs and surprises of the publishing process.
But the very best part is guiding children into their own creative writing experience. We take something familiar; a favourite character, a real memory, even an everyday object and learn how to repurpose it into a brand-new story. Watching pupils realise that they already have everything they need to be storytellers is truly magical. My aim is always to leave them feeling confident, inspired and excited to keep writing long after the workshop ends.
